We started our adventure by stopping at the Nooksack falls. The waterfall photos didn't come out that great but the area was nice.
This tree was perched on the edge of the waterfall.
I got super close to this guy without spooking him.
Then we started up the mountain to the Winchester fire lookout.
Visited with one of Mothra's distant cousins.
This lake was at the bottom of the mountain, covered mostly in ice it still provided Azzie with ample entertainment.
The erosion patterns on these rocks were amazing. I guess a lot of ice passes over these guys.
Shaggy plant.
I particularly enjoyed this cluster of trees. I called it "The Huddle"
The first and only time I have ever raised a flag.
Dinner was incredible.
The hike up Winchester is not the easiest but any relatively able individual should be able to manage it. I would highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for a good place to spend a night or two on top of a mountain.
